China
Returned from a very successful ministry to China. We did a great deal of traveling while there and everywhere we went, we saw throngs of people. It was very crowded everywhere. One church we went to had 1500 members. The church was small with several rooms which had closed circuit TV in each. They had to have several services every Sunday and still others could not get in. The Christian brothers and sisters were SO loving! I have traveled to many nations and everywhere I go, I meet new brothers and sisters in Christ. We REALLY are one BIG family. Even at the "ends of the earth", true Christians are the same-very loving! The Bible says that we will be known by our love, and that is SO true! True Christianity is the cure for all the hatred in the world today!! That is why I am committed to taking the Gospel to every person on planet earth! On the last day, we went to the Great Wall of China. I climbed to the very top of one section. It was very steep with narrow steps. What a struggle that was for this senior citizen! It was very hot out, too. As I reached the top, what joy I had as I read a sign in English carved on the wall: "JESUS Reigns"!! Hallelujah!!

Kris Going to China!
Rev. King has been invited to join a missions team who will target the Tibetan people in Gansu Province in China. The team is comprised of seasoned missionaries who will train church leaders and distribute Tibetan bibles (only $5 each) amongst this people group who have few, if any, Christians. There is less than 2% Christians in Gansu Province with many different people groups represented. There are two Tibetan groups who have NO KNOWN Christians and only a handful of believers in the other two Tibetan groups! We will share the gospel with them and give them a bible in their OWN language!! The trip is on August 6th for 12 days. For the trip AND bibles, Kris will need $4870. That is a lot of money but it will be well worth it because through the workshops and bibles we will provide, many, many people who have NEVER heard the gospel will hear the good news for the first time!! If you want to help with the expenses of this trip, please send your tax deductible gift to KKI, 313 6th Street, Alamogordo, NM 88310 and designate it for "China". Support and be blessed!!
New Night Shelter!!
Praise the Lord!! We have a night shelter now where homeless men can sleep. Two men who had been living in the desert are now running it! The night manager is Pete who is a Viet Nam veteran and gourmet chef!! He cooks meals when the day shelter is closed on weekends and holidays so now we serve meals EVERYDAY even on holidays!!! Daniel is the maintenance manager and takes care of all the cleaning, maintenance and landscaping. Gary still runs the day shelter, cooking meals, etc. Monday through Friday. We have shower and laundry facilities available as well as a clothes closet . . . all free to the neediest folks in our area. We thank God for all of you who help us!! We get no government support (don't want it) so we trust God to provide ALL our needs through wonderful people like YOU!! Call us if you want to volunteer, provide a meal, donate food or make a tax deductible monetary donation. 575-437-7880

Many have asked me how we are funded. We do NOT get government funds (don't want any because of strings attached.) We are supported primarily through individual gifts/donations from caring friends of the homeless. We have three (3) churches who support us regularly as well. There have been a few friends who have donated large sums of money (one for $17K), but most of the support comes from partners giving between $10 and $250 per month. The average monthly support is about $30 per partner.
As for fundraising activities, there are none. We send out a newsletter about once or twice a year. Here is our fundraising "technique": We pray to the "boss", God; He hears us and speaks to people He has blessed, and many of His kids, hear Him and obey. There are others who give and do not know that God has spoken to them, they just feel that it is a good thing to help those in need. There is a saying that "what goes around, comes around". In other words, whatever you do, say etc, comes back to you - whether good or bad. This saying is true because it is based on a spiritual principle found in the Word of God . . . you reap what you sow (good or bad).

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Notice the scripture says "hath blessed us". That is past tense. In other words it is already done!! So why do we plead with our Father for this and that when ALL blessings have already been given? The Father is saying to you that He has already given you ALL things. It is done!!! Praying in faith then we would thank Him for what has already been done! Praise Him for the answer!! Pray in faith believing that He hears you and will give you what you ask of Him.
1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Rejoice!! Praise Him! It is done!!

Welcome to our new BlogSpot!!!
This blogspot has two purposes. One will be to list the needs of the House of Prayer Mission since many have asked for up-to-date lists of our needs (Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the list). The second will be to share thoughts on the Word of God and to pray for your needs. I expect this blogsite to change as I see what our supporters want and need. It is my prayer that people's lives will be blessed and changed from glory to glory as we explore together the depths of God's love.
